Most of my guitars are commissions
but on occasion I have a new or used guitar available
and will feature it on this page.

No. 117

This is a left handed guitar.

The sound is very pleasing with an impressive bass and fine rounded sweet trebles. It offers a variety of tone colour with good volume and a large range of expressive musical tones.

No. 121

European Spruce and East Indian Rosewood

The Spruce top is silky with lots of medullary rays and has a dark intricate rosette. The East Indian Rosewood was bought in 1976. It is straight grained and of a quality that is hard to match today. This instrument has an air resonance of "G" with a powerful voice and a pleasing depth to the bass. The trebles are clear and well defined. It is a well balanced instrument and has the normal scale of 650mm.

Alessi tuners with Ebony buttons.

No. 122

Engelmann Spruce, European Maple

The spruce top was a specially selected top by Bev Finch on Vancouver Island. The best tonewood grader on the planet. The top is perfectly quarter cut and shows lots of silk. The back and sides are European Maple that I bought in Austria 10 years ago. The maple is a very attractive set, also cut on the quarter. This instrument is made in a completely traditional manner using only the best materials throughout and put together with hide glue. The guitar has a body resonance of "G". It has a refined sound with clarity and is quite loud. It has good sustain with fine voice separation.

The tuners are Alessi with Ebony buttons.

No. 124

630 scale, East Indian Rosewood and Eurpean Spruce top.

Excellent quick sound, loud, with very clear trebles and deep base. Body resonance of low G.
